Insomnia
Your work productivity is in a nosedive, your concentration is poor, you’re dead tired throughout the day, your muscles ache, and your irritability, moodiness, frequent headaches, and low mood are compromising your relationship with your partner, while your impatience inclines your kids to avoid you as much as possible.
Insomnia can be a nightmare, day and night. Moreover, researchers have shown that too little sleep over time changes the body’s secretion of some hormones, promoting changes in appetite causing weight gain, cognitive and mood problems, an increased risk of high blood pressure and heart disease.
The good news is these effects can be progressively reversed by getting seven to nine hours of quality sleep each night. But how does a person with insomnia accomplish this most natural of behaviors?
